Genesis Transition Services offer assistance to high schools in their efforts to transition students to adult services.  Genesis acts as a resource for those accessing adult services through informational presentations and by attending Individual Educational Plan meetings.  

Assistance with Job Shadowing and Work Experiences are options that can be arranged through Genesis Development’s Employment Services and Work Services programs.  Through Home and Community Based Services (HCBS), Genesis can provide assistance with after school jobs and summer work experiences for high school students.

Supported Community Living provided through Genesis Residential Services, can provide assistance for students in their own homes through HCBS.  As they transition from high school into adult services, group-living experiences at 30 homes in Jefferson, Storm Lake, Boone, Winterset, Panora, Indianola and Adel and 24-hour supervised apartments in Jefferson are available for those who desire that style of living arrangement.  Tours of our facilities can be arranged by calling any one of our locations (find phone numbers on Contact Us page)
