2016 Summer Camp will be June 6th-August 12th 

Explorers is a summer camp created to provide an organized program for children with disabilities during the summer months when they are not in school. The program provides a safe, structured environment with skilled staff.

Camp Curriculum:
Social Interaction
Leisure & Recreational Skills and Activities
Community Awareness & Experiences Social Interaction
Giving Back to the Community (Civic & Volunteer Opportunities)
Health and Fitness Activities

Activities and Outings:
Arts & Crafts, Board Games, Computer Games, Wii Activities, Music, Books & Lawn Games
Weekly Trips to: Local Swimming Pool, Bowling Alley, Public Library
Picnics, Fishing, Movie Outings
Field Trips to: Iowa Cubs game, Blank Park Zoo, Science Center, Living History Farms

Admission Eligibility:
Participants in the program are referred through case managers, social workers and school teachers. Any child with disabilities in Boone County is eligible to apply for camp.
